Digital Print : what it is ?
Digital printing is ideal for pictures or patterns made up of numerous colours or gradients. Over time, the colours tend to become lacklustrer
Digital printing is divided into two categories: Direct Digital Printing and Digital Transfer Definition of the Direct Digital Printing.
The colour is printed directly on the garment. The pattern is softer and more comfortable to wear in comparison to the Digital Transfer.
The Direct digital printing is perfect for large patterns and designs, but the colours fade slightly after the first few washes. This type of printing is well suited to create a look "vintage" : the pattern looks a little washed out, the colours are not at their brightest.
We offer Direct digital printing for a short time, so it is not yet available for all products.
The pattern will be first printed on a transparent transfer sheet, which is then cut by hand. Then the sheet is hot pressed onto the t-shirt. The surplus is removed to leave a thin border around the print pattern.
In comparaison with the Digital-direct printing, the colours look better and are more resistant to washing.
The digital transfer is only available on white (or light colours) products
For what kind of visuals do I use a digital printing ?
With pictures because the number of colours in the pattern is unlimited and gradients are possible.
With pattern containing more than three colours and gradients. claires.
What should I consider
for digital printing ?
Printed patterns with the digital process can crack on t-shirts stretch (eg. for t-shirt Slim Fit Man) This is because the printing sheet is not very extensible.
Inevitably colours fade after several washings.
